A  outstanding build, with a track record to match

Built as J’Ade, ODYSSEY has always stood out. Constructed to an exacting specification — reportedly for an owner of CRN — she offers a level of performance rarely found in a 58m / 191’ yacht: she combines proven seaworthiness, impressive range, speed, and comfort with exceptionally generous volume and a powerful, well-proportioned profile.

Her striking exterior lines gave her an almost military look, reinforced by dark-toned paintwork and clear-cut white superstructure. Inside, the original décor was exquisitely formal: dark wood paneling and hard wood floors coupled with a subdued palette offset by bright green accents. When she came to market in 2019, she sold quickly for what she could become.

Her new owner was looking for a yacht suited for long range cruising off the beaten track, for island hopping with family and friends. In 2020, she underwent a substantial refit to soften her slightly austere character, shifting her from a sober formal yacht into a modern platform better suited to a relaxed, active life on the water. Exterior and interior spaces were optimized to maximize the space and functionality.

Since her 2020 refit, ODYSSEY has been used privately in the South Pacific, covering many miles and proving herself a highly capable long-range cruiser. Her touch-and-go helipad, suitable for a Bell 429 or similar, has been invaluable for scouting and for easy guest transfers to and from the shore. A range of good size tenders and plenty of toys adds to her versatility, while zero-speed stabilizers make her a highly capable and versatile platform for extended cruising in remote regions.

Please note that ODYSSEY is not offered for sale or charter to US residents while in US waters

THE  MAKING  OF  ODYSSEY

Fifty  years  of  experience  distilled  into  939  Gross Tons

For more than six decades, CRN has delivered trend-setting solutions, top-tier craftsmanship and projects designed to maximize the thrill of living on the water. ODYSSEY epitomizes their approach.

Costruzioni e Riparazioni Navali (CRN) was founded in 1963 by the Italian businessman Sanzio Nicolini. He was not afraid to go against the grain. From the beginning, CRN built yachts in metal while the industry still worked in wood. It was a daring shift in how yachts were constructed. Steel allowed greater scale, stronger structures and a higher level of technical control.

By the 1970s, Nicolini was pushing technological boundaries and delivering landmark steel yachts with Carlo Riva, to designs by Jon Bannenberg, Alberto Pinto and Terry Disdale.

In 1983, CRN launched the 33m F 100 for Fiat’s Gianni Agnelli, widely regarded as the first exploration yacht. She introduced rubber supports developed with NASA for soundproofing, a touch-and-go helipad on the upper deck and a delightfully extravagant gold “beauty line” drawn beneath the rubbing strake from bow to stern.

ODYSSEY stands in this exceptional lineage. The owners’ terrace can be used underway. Guests move easily between exterior and interior spaces where large expanses of glazing maintain constant visual contact with the sea. The beach club opens fully to the water; there is even a drive-in tender garage. Northern yards build with precision. CRN builds with an understanding of daily life on the water.

THE  REFIT

Designed  for  the  sea,  restyled  to  enjoy  it

The refit transformed her into a versatile platform for multi-generational adventure yachting. An exceptional opportunity in today’s market.

Built as hull number 'CNR 125' (then J’Ade), ODYSSEY has always stood apart. Her unusual exterior lines gave her an almost military look, reinforced by beige paintwork and white horizontal superstructure lines. Inside, the original décor was exquisitely formal: dark wood, hardwood floors, simple white headliners, and a palette of browns and neutrals with accents of jade green.

THE  HELI  DECK

Helicopter capability scales up life on board, combining practical transport with a reach far beyond that of a chase boat or tender. For the past six years, helicopter operations have been a routine part of life on board ODYSSEY —a capability seldom found in a 58m yacht.

THE
GENERAL
ARRANGEMENT

boat 2_edited.png

The Italian design studio Zuccon International Project is recognized for its ability to organize onboard spaces with clarity, making exceptional use of the available volume. The layout is structured around how the yacht is used by both guests and crew, with an emphasis on proportion and function rather than passing trends. This approach results in designs that remain coherent over time.
